Kenneth Brown
Ken has been involved in a wide range of aviation activities since the mid 1970’s. He began with the family business, a small Part 135, Flight School, repair shop, and aircraft sales in a California Resort town. Soon after Ken was recruited as Director of Maintenance (DOM) for a growing Part 135 scheduled operator that would eventually become Envoy Airlines.
From there, Ken moved into a worldwide company as the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering, engaged in Part 121 Flag Operations, Heavy Air Cargo, aircraft acquisition, Certification Consultation, Part 145 for large aircraft, and Engineering services. In 1995, Ken was recruited by colleagues in the FAA and became an Aviation Safety Inspector in Southern California.
During his tenure he would also see service as an advisor to the Australian CAA, numerous FAA national working groups, and in Oklahoma City as a manager. He would join the FAA Academy as a Technical Training Manager, teaching new inspectors the craft. Ken has numerous FAA awards to his credit. He retired from Federal Service and resides in Oklahoma City.
