How Skyports collects, uses and protects personal information on this website.
This policy explains what happens to personal information collected through the Skyports website at skyports.com: visits, the chat assistant, the consultation request and contact forms, and inquiries. For that information we are the party that decides how it is used (the “controller”).
It replaces the privacy policy previously published on this page. Documents, manuals, records and other information that a client shares with us during a consulting engagement are handled under that client’s engagement agreement and any confidentiality agreement, not under this policy.
This website is operated by Allied Services Group, LLC, a California limited liability company. Skyports and Aviation Support are brands of Allied Services Group, LLC. Our address is 18039 Chatsworth St. #34138, Granada Hills, CA 91394, U.S.A., telephone +1 818 368 8438. We provide aviation regulatory compliance consulting, including international approvals. For privacy questions and requests, use our Privacy Request form or our contact page.
| Category | What it includes | Why we have it, and the legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Consultation requests and contact forms | Name, company, email address, telephone number, country, organization type, the aviation authority involved, the service you are interested in, and your message, with the IP address and browser or device details recorded with the submission | To respond to your inquiry, arrange a consultation and prepare a proposal. Basis: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries |
| Website chat assistant | The messages you type, the assistant’s replies, the page you were on, and the time of each message. See section 3 | To answer your questions and to improve our answers and services. Basis: legitimate interests |
| IP address, approximate location and network name (chat users) | Your IP address, the city, state or region and country derived from it, and where available the network name (often the name of your organization) | To protect the chat from abuse and to understand which organizations and regions are interested in our services so we can follow up. Basis: legitimate interests |
| Privacy choices | A record of each cookie choice: a random consent ID, the date, the categories chosen, the region, whether your browser sent a Global Privacy Control signal, the page, your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, and a one-way coded version of your IP address. The IP address is deleted after 90 days; the rest of the record is kept for 36 months | To respect your choice and to be able to show that consent was given. Basis: legal obligation |
| Privacy requests | Your name, email address, state or country, and the details of your request, with the IP address of the device you used and the approximate location derived from it | To handle your request and keep a record that we did, and to check that the request is genuine and not spam. Basis: legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in protecting the form from abuse and verifying requesters |
| Correspondence | Emails and calls between you and us | To answer questions and keep a record of what was agreed. Basis: legitimate interests |
| Server logs and security | IP address, browser type and version, pages requested, date and time, referring page, and spam protection signals on forms | To operate and secure the website and to investigate faults and abuse. Basis: legitimate interests |
| Cookies and similar technologies | See section 5 and our Cookie Policy | Necessary cookies make the site work. Basis: legitimate interests, and consent for any optional cookies |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests are running and protecting our website, answering questions about our services, and following up with organizations that have shown an interest in them. We have weighed those interests against your rights and you can object at any time (section 10).
We do not ask for and do not want government identification numbers, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information or other sensitive information through this website. Please do not send them to us through a form or in the chat. If an engagement requires documents of that kind, we will agree a secure way to exchange them first.
Our website offers an AI chat assistant that answers questions about aviation regulations, international approvals and our consulting services. It tells you that it is an AI assistant. Its answers are general guidance and are not a compliance determination.
When you use it, the messages you type, the page you were viewing, your IP address, and the approximate location and network derived from it (such as city, country and organization) are stored on our own website server. We use this to protect the service from abuse and to understand who is interested in our services so we can respond. Location is looked up on our own server; your IP address is not sent to a location lookup service.
To generate answers, your messages and the recent conversation are sent to a third-party artificial intelligence service provider that processes them on our behalf. Your IP address is not sent to that provider. We only use AI providers that do not use these conversations to train their models and that delete them after a limited period, except where retention is needed for security or legal reasons.
When you ask about a consultation or next steps, the assistant directs you to our consultation request form, contact page or telephone number. If you give contact details in the chat itself, or ask for a copy of the conversation, we receive and use those details to respond, and we may email the request and the conversation, with your IP address and approximate location, to our team. We use this information only to answer your questions and respond to your request. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
The chat uses your browser’s session storage to keep the conversation on screen while you move between pages. It sets no cookies, and the session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab.
Retention: your IP address and network name are deleted automatically after 90 days. Conversations, the approximate location kept with them, and any contact details given in the chat are deleted automatically after 24 months. Emails we receive about a request are kept as business correspondence.
Please do not enter sensitive personal, financial or confidential information in the chat. To ask us to delete a conversation or your contact details, or to ask which service providers we use, use our Privacy Request form or our contact page.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing, we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not buy contact lists, and we do not use advertising pixels from social networks or ad networks.
This website uses only a small number of cookies and similar technologies, and today they are all necessary: they remember your privacy choice, keep staff signed in, and protect our forms from spam (Google reCAPTCHA). These are always on. Author profile images on articles are loaded from Gravatar, which sets no cookies.
We do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies on this website. If we add any, they will be used only as described here and listed in our Cookie Policy first.
How your choice works. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or any other country outside the United States, nothing optional is used until you choose, and you can accept all, reject all, or choose by category. If you visit from the United States, you can opt out of optional cookies at any time. We honor Global Privacy Control signals automatically as an opt-out.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the privacy button shown on every page, or the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer. We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if the services we use change. We respond to Global Privacy Control rather than the older “Do Not Track” signal, for which there is no accepted standard.
The full, current list of every cookie and service, with its provider, purpose and duration, is in our Cookie Policy. That list is generated from the site’s settings and stays current.
We share website information only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, only to the extent they need it, and under terms that require them to protect it:
Our consultants work on our behalf and see inquiry information only when they need it to respond to you. We also disclose information where we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid subpoena, court order or lawful request from a government authority, and where necessary to protect the safety of people or the security of the website. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may pass to the new owner, who must continue to protect it as this policy describes.
We are a United States company and this website is operated from the United States. Information collected through it is processed in the United States, where privacy law may differ from the law where you live. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your information is transferred to the United States under appropriate safeguards, such as a service provider’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, or standard contractual clauses.

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including encryption in transit, restricted administrator access, and automatic deletion on the schedule above. No system is entirely secure, and we do not claim that ours cannot be compromised.
Wherever you are, you may ask us to:
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you also have the right to restrict our use of your information, to object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier use. You may complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. In the United Kingdom that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
How to make a request. Use our Privacy Request form. We will confirm we received it and respond within 30 days. If a request is complex, we may extend that period as the law allows and will tell you why. We may need to verify who you are before we act, so that we do not disclose or delete someone else’s information by mistake. We will not charge you for making a request and we will not treat you differently for having made one. To change your cookie choices, use the privacy button on any page or the “Your Privacy Choices” footer link.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We still give every U.S. visitor the choice to opt out through “Your Privacy Choices”, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals automatically. We offer these choices to all U.S. visitors as a matter of practice.
California Civil Code section 1798.83 lets California residents ask a business whether it has disclosed their personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information for that purpose, so there is nothing to report, but you may still ask.
Allied Services Group, LLC also operates aviationsupport.com (Aviation Support), aerospacesms.com (AerospaceSMS, our safety management system software) and other websites. Each has its own privacy policy, which applies to information collected there.
This website is intended for aviation professionals and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. The current version is always published here and shows a version number and revision date. If we make a change that materially affects how we handle information we already hold, we will post a notice on this page and take reasonable steps to notify affected individuals directly.
For privacy requests, use our Privacy Request form. For anything else, use our contact page.
