EASA and UK CAA Supplements and Certification Services
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is responsible for ensuring safety and environmental protection in air transport in Europe. The United Kingdom (UK) Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is responsible for the regulation of aviation safety in the UK. As of 31 December 2020 the UK left the European Union aviation system, and as such is no longer part of European Union aviation institutions, including the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Hence, the U.S. Part 145 certificated Repair Stations that work on European aircraft, parts, and/or components must hold EASA and/or UK CAA approval certificates.
