Jose Salazar
Jose is an aviator with over 48 years of aviation experience. His aviation career began by joining the United States Air Force (USAF) in 1976, then the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 1996, and as of 2014, Jose has been sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with the Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASI) at the FAA Academy.
Jose was an FAA Regional Specialist who provided technical assistance to approximately 15 FAA Field Offices on a wide range of field support ranging from General Aviation to Air Carrier activities.
He would conduct extensive research on programs requested by the field inspectors, coordinating his research with FAA Headquarters on various Aviation related topics ranging from Designated Airworthiness Representatives and complex Part 145 Specialized Services to Parts 121 and 135 Operations. He possesses an Airframe and Powerplant (A & P), amongst other specialized training and qualifications.
